Nelson sits on the Pickens County line in the heart of Georgia marble country, a small rural town where life moves at its own pace. The homes here are a mix of older farmhouses, modest ranch houses, and newer builds on generous lots. Their bathrooms tend to share a trait: solid structures with finishes that have aged past their prime.
Full Bathroom Remodels in Marble Country
A full bathroom remodel in Nelson usually means starting over the right way. We strip the room to the studs, address any plumbing or subfloor issues the years have left behind, and rebuild from a clean plan — new layout where it helps, new tile, vanity, fixtures, lighting, and ventilation throughout. Given the town's marble heritage, we often suggest a nod to it in the finishes: a marble-look porcelain that handles daily use, or a genuine marble threshold and shelf. As a bathroom remodeler in GA, we plan every bathroom renovation in Nelson around durability first, because a country home's bathroom should work as hard as the people in it.
The shower anchors the new room. Our custom tile showers are waterproofed from pan to ceiling, with niches framed in before tile and drains set true. Walk-in designs suit Nelson's ranch homes especially well — no curb to step over, glass that keeps the room open. Homeowners who want a custom shower installer in GA that sweats the substrate will find we talk as much about what is behind the tile as what is on it.
Custom Tile Showers in Nelson
Nelson's farmhouses often have a small hall bath that serves the whole house. We make those rooms work harder with space-smart vanities, large-format floor tile, and lighting that flatters. A powder room or hall bath remodel is a modest project that changes how the house feels every day.
When the only tub in the house goes unused, a tub to shower conversion near Nelson turns it into the home's best shower. We remove the tub, rebuild the base with full waterproofing, and finish in tile with storage and fixtures chosen for the household. It is practical, it is easier to clean, and it suits aging in place.
Small Bath and Powder Room Updates
If you are deciding between a focused update and a full remodel, we will give you an honest read. Sometimes a shower rebuild and a new vanity get you most of the way there; sometimes the bones demand the full treatment. Either way, you will hear our straight opinion before you spend a dollar.
